As a result of new changes in technology and societal pressures, TFA are working to further develop and create a more efficient SportingPulse online network, better suited to Touch Football affiliates.
According to research undertaken in consultation with affiliates, 80% of survey participants currently use SportingPulse websites. Further to this, 74% think the SportingPulse website network is beneficial to the Touch Football community with the following benefits such as the ability to provide competition news, ladders, fixture timetables and other information quickly, rated as very beneficial. The areas identified as requiring improvements were; Sponsorship Advertisements, Media Display and overall website customisation.
Through a strategic partnership with SportingPulse, TFA can provide Standard, Advanced and Elite website options for affiliates of TFA. Affiliates have the ability to own and operate their own website, with a unique SportingPulse Touch Football website address.
Website editors now have the ability to assign a mytouchfooty.com domain to their site automatically; for example yourclubname.mytouchfooty.com. This shorter web address (URL) can greatly assist in the promotion of your website to your members and supporters. Log in to your website’s Site Administration Control Panel (back-end) as a website editor, click on the ‘Domain Name’ icon and enter the domain name you would like for your site. You will be notified if your selected domain is unavailable and SportingPulse reserves the right to revoke access to any domain name in their system at any time. However please contact Touch Football Australia to find out more information about any domains that may be available.
Websites provide an opportunity to promote what your affiliate does and what it stands for. It is a means for all manner of communication with your members, whether they are players (past or present), parents, supporters, coaches etc. Therefore we encourage all affiliates to consider the use of these products from Season 2 2012.
